PLAYWITH HEIGHTS: To give the collection height, I placed Mokara orchids in amonofloral bouquet in a tall oblong vase.

At the flowermarket I chose some quintessential garden flowers: "Red Charm"peonies, "Tess of the d'Urbervilles"
roses from David Austin,"Ivanhoe" roses (a Dutch variety with a striking greeneye) and dahlias in a deep rouge-noir.

the textures of the flowers as well as the differentgradients of color required to create a pleasing bouquet.
So breaking my ownrule of only arranging flowers of one provenance together, such as gardenflowers with
other garden flowers or tropical flowers with tropical flowers, Iadded some deep red Mokara orchids and a
Vanda orchid called Red Magic. Thesetropical flowers added an exclamation point to the story I was creating forthis interior.
